Our Dorcas Society sews beautiful quilts that bring not only protection and warmth but also encouragement and comfort to those in need of a ‘layer of love’. Recipients of the blankets are often victims of global disasters, hospice patients or just folks in need of special comfort. The remarkable women who make these quilts primarily use donated materials and they can make a ‘silk purse out of a sow’s ear’. Work meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays during the school year, beginning at 9 am. Join to help and work among friends!
