Youth Ministry

The youth ministry exists to connect students and their families to Christ, the church, and the community. We plan and encourage weekly and monthly activities that nurture one or more of these relationships.

Weekly Activities

Confirmation
The confirmation program is designed for students in 6th-8th grade and meets on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00pm-5:15pm, with snack beginning at 3:30pm. Each week students will grow in their understanding of important Lutheran beliefs and practices, learning to live them out in their daily lives. They will also study what it means to be a Christian in today’s culture. In addition to weekly instruction, students take part in a fall retreat that offers a time of group building.  Middle school youth nights are also planned throughout the year as an opportunity for fellowship.  We follow the Helena School calendar. If the public schools do not meet, we will not meet.

Youth Bible Study
Middle School and High School Bible Studies are offered on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45am.

We study a variety of topics throughout the year with each study based on learning what the Bible says and what our response as God’s people can be.

Wednesday Evenings
We meet regularly on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:15 pm. Our activities include devotions, fun activities, service projects, and more.

Special Events

We occasionally hold special events that don’t happen on a Sunday or a Wednesday. More details about these events can be found in the youth newsletter or on the calendar. Examples of previous events include: camping trips, paint ball, game nights, and local service projects. In addition, each summer we strive to journey somewhere. In addition, each summer we either attend a servant event or the LCMS National Youth Gathering.
