Welcome to First Lutheran Preschool! We are excited to provide an opportunity for children of First Lutheran families and other Helena area families to receive a quality academic education within a Christian environment. The preschool provides a Christian education that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, and creative growth of each child.

Faith based education shapes more than academics. First Lutheran Preschool is a Christ centered learning environment that has an emphasis on Christian values, responsibility and purpose.
Field Trips:
First Lutheran Preschool has a school bus and takes students on adventures to parks, play centers, and local experiences
Playground:
First Lutheran Preschool has the largest private fenced playground in the Helena Valley
Large Indoor Play Area:
On rainy days, or when the temperatures are below freezing, children have lots of room to move their bodies inside the preschool but outside their normal classrooms.
Book Fair!
First Lutheran Preschool will be holding our first annual book fair this preschool year. We will have our “Dino”Mite Readers enjoying a read-a-thon and winning prizes during the weeks of May 18-29. We will end this excitement with our Book Fair!!
We would like to welcome you to come to our book fair on May 29 (from 9-4) & May 30 (from 9-12) to purchase some pretty fun and incredibly cool books.
Any purchases that you make on the website will give us a percentage back to get free books for our preschool. Any purchases that you make at the book fair will raise funds for our preschool. Thank you for your support as we have our first book fair. Did I mention that there will be fun activities for the kids? There will.
Our Mission
The mission of First Lutheran Preschool is proclaimed in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The preschool provides another means for First Lutheran Church of Helena to bring the Word and Love of God in Christ Jesus to more families as revealed in the Bible. The course work is interwoven with Christian principles as understood by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Our Students
The student body of First Lutheran Preschool is comprised of First Lutheran Church families and other Helena area families. This mission has an outreach throughout the community since many families come from other church homes or have no church home. This gives First Lutheran Preschool an excellent opportunity to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the connection with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
The First Lutheran Preschool mascot is the First Lutheran Flames, and our colors are red and white. The Flames represent the Spirit of God ablaze or burning in our hearts. The red represents the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for us to remove our sins. The white represents that Jesus is sinless, forgives our sins and makes us pure/white as snow.
