Today We Rejoice Again ~ in Jesus’ Easter Resurrection and our blessed victory because of all He did for us on Calvary and through the Open Tomb! Alleluia! At the same time, we join the Apostle Thomas in dealing with doubts that arise, even in our minds and hearts. Yet, God strengthens us through His powerful Word and makes us steadfast in our faith? Rich blessings in our worship this day!
Many, Many Thanks ~ to our Elders, Mark Walker, Tara Mercer, and others for serving last Wednesday and today while Pastor and Shari are on vacation in California. They plan to return on Tuesday, rested and ready to serve with joy!
“Faces of the Savior” ~ Today in Adult Bible Class we’ll consider the many roles Jesus has played as our Savior, Servant, and Friend, throughout His life, death, resurrection, ascension, and coming again. Please join us in the Fellowship Centre for food and fellowship at 9:30 a.m., and stay for an hour of study and growth in faith.
Our Midweek Worship ~ takes us for a walk with the risen Savior and a couple of His disciples. Please join us this Wednesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m., for a spiritual jaunt with our living Lord!
Stuck in a Rut? ~ Jesus’ disciples were ready to return to what they know before His death, but, after His Resurrection, He called them (as He calls us) to rise above the routine, and live a new resurrected life after Easter. Join us next Sunday for a glimpse of how such a life can be. Divine services begin at 8:15 and 11 a.m.!
A Big Thank You ~ to Terry and Walt Wareham and helpers for preparing, setting up, and cleaning up our Midweek Supper last Wednesday. If you would like to help with a Midweek Supper and/or dessert, sign up sheets are by the kitchen window.
First Lutheran School Bike Day ~ Our students will be having their second annual bike day fundraising event on the morning of May 16. Please look at the sign up board in Ziegler Hall to sponsor a student for their ride. We are also asking for Star Sponsors to choose a student. Star sponsorship would include a financial donation to the school in the chosen child’s name and a congratulatory card or small gift (with no greater than $5. value). Thank you, in advance, for your support of our students and school!
Nominees Needed! ~ At the annual voters’ meeting in June, we need to elect a vice president (1-year term); a secretary (2-year term); a treasurer (2-year term); and two MMC at-large members (2-year term for each). Please prayerfully consider serving in one of these positions. To place names on the ballot for consideration (maybe your own?) or for information regarding duties, please contact President Jason Mercer.
Vacation Bible School ~ The planning for Vacation Bible School (VBS) has started! We will be holding our “Epic Australian Adventure” during the week of August 11-15. If you are interested in volunteering for this amazing opportunity to share God’s Word, please talk to Sue Taylor, Hanna Hollatz, or Darcy Goodson. We will be reaching out to our previous volunteers in the weeks to come.
The Sign Up for Sunday Treats ~ through May is available by the kitchen window. May 18 and 25 are still open. Thanks!
Helena Food Share Items ~ In April, we are collecting chili and chunky soup, canned and boxed meals, and condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc.). Please place any donations under the mailboxes in Ziegler Hall. Thank you!
On The Lutheran Hour Next Sunday ~ Hear guest speaker Rev. Dr. Daniel Paavola on “An Old Place, A New Beginning”. God is the Searcher Who will not stop looking for us. In our lonely hiding place, He says, “I knew I would find you here.”
(John 21:1-19) The Lutheran Hour may be heard Sundays on Christian Satellite Network, 91.1 FM, at 8 a.m., and on Sirius XM 131, Family Talk.

+ Our Times of Doubting and Unbelief ~ that God will forgive us and make us more steadfast in believing in our risen and living Jesus, as He did with Thomas.
